Hancock was original, fresh, very funny and action packed. I rate this movie very high. We had such a great time seeing it. It's definitely a little too violent for the little ones. We saw it pretty late at night so there weren't many people in the theater, but we were all laughing pretty hard during many of the scenes.
I give this movie a strong thumbs up. It's got some bad language, but not over the top.
The critics tore this movie apart, but don't let that stop you from seeing it. They got it wrong. Go see this movie.

Saw this movie tonight at the El Capitan in Hollywood. I'd never been there before. It was amazing. Disney bought this theater a while back and spent $10M refurbishing it. It's amazing. When we walked in, there was a guy in the middle of the stage with his back to the crowd playing a gigantic organ that lowered through the floor of the stage when he finished. Before the movie, they had a cartoon. Then they had a dance routine with several characters from various Disney animated movies. Tonight I saw this movie with some friends who are way too young to have watched the TV show. They loved every minute of the movie. It was great from start to finish.
This was certainly my kind of flick. I love comedies and I grew up on a steady diet of the Get Smart TV show. It was like watching a new extended episode. My attention was glued to the screen the whole time. The story line made sense and had some good action and a lot of comedy. Reluctantly, I went to see Adam Sandler's You Don't Mess With The Zohan. I would not have normally gone to see this movie. I was sure it would be bad.
It was bad and our discussion afterward had no good comments about the movie. However, during the movie everybody laughed a few times so I know it wasn't a complete loss.
Here's my take on it:
- It was entertaining- There were some funny parts- See Adam's naked backside a few times- Strong sexual-suggestive material throughout (don't take the kids)- Strong tolerance message which was presented in a goofy way, but … (1 comments)

movie review: Iron Man - the movie - 05/24/08 05:39 PM
It's a holiday weekend so I thought I'd go completely off topic for my blog today. All work and no play... yada yada.
 
Anyway... I saw Iron Man last weekend and wanted to give it two thumbs up. Okay, I'm only 1 person, but I still have two thumbs... and they're both up for this movie.
What I liked:
1. Super clean movie. The usual villian and superhero violence. However, by today's standards, it would work for Sesame Street.2. Some good humor elements... a little silly, but still good3. Great story.4. Awesome ending... especially the last line.5. Stay until after … (2 comments)
