hyer: Hyer's Famous Spread Eagle Boot - Olathe, Kansas Celebration 150th Birthday - 08/22/07 10:57 PM

Hyer's Famous Spread Eagle Boot is another "Welcome Home! Cowboy Boots" sculpture that illustrates the proud past of Olathe, Kansas and the celebration of Olathe's 150th Birthday.
At first I was skeptical of putting this one on my post, but I have to give all these sculptures their place in history. I just wish the name used would have been more closely considered before it was printed.
Anyway, this boot sculpture is sponsored and provided by the Hyer Family who created the first cowboy boot. The design was the "Spread Eagle" that is displayed here, that was originally a dress boot of distinction … (0 comments)
