johnson county: Early Snow Boot Sculpture - Olathe Kansas Birthday at 150 Years! - 08/09/07 12:12 AM
Another of the twelve Cowboy Boot Sculptures helping to celebrate the 150th Birthday of Olathe Kansas. The "Early Snow" boot sculpture is sponsored by the First National Bank of Olathe and is one of the twelve six foot sculptures helping to celebrate Olathe's 150th Birthday. The sculpture was designed by Linda Wisely of Rantoul, Kansas and recalls the scenery of the rural area near Olathe, Kansas. On the boot is a cowboy, a barn scene and a buffalo in the winter snow. The vivid aqua, violet and ochre colors give a resemblance to the winter snow reflections from the Kansas skies. This is

johnson county: History of Olathe Kansas - 07/26/07 11:49 PM
Relocating to Kansas, looking for a new home, Olathe Kansas offers a community with lots of benefits. Olathe Kansas is the county seat for Johnson County and the downtown area is the location of the Johnson County Courthouse, Olathe City Hall, the Johnson County Administrative building and a bundle of other law offices, title companies, one of the libraries in Olathe and a few other businesses. Johnson County was organized in 1855 and was named for Rev. Thomas Johnson, who in 1829 established a mission among the Shawnee Indians about eight miles southwest of Kansas City. Rev. johnson county: Flipping Houses? - 06/03/07 12:15 AM
Are you interested in Flipping Houses? I grew up in a construction and building environment where my father has either bought, remodeled or built about 75% of the homes in the small town he lives in (about 7,000 population). I have had the privilege of working with him and I have seen him put in 14-15 hour days and be available to people in need whenever they call him. I have learned a great deal from my father and I'm so very thankful for this. One of the things I have watched my father do time and time again is buy real estate.

johnson county: Building an Online Referral Network - 04/30/07 11:52 PM
Online Referral Network After several positive comments on one of my recent posts about building an online referrals network. I thought I would create a Group called Online Referrals and I would like to invite you to look at this group and give me your feedback. I think one measure of our success is the ability to provide quality referrals to other businesses who are in our community, like Kansas City and Olathe and who can benefit from a quality referral. Of course we want to know the individual we are giving the referral to, so it's important for us to get to know the individual and

johnson county: Color in Staging - Grape and Green! - 04/25/07 10:51 PM
What are you doing to sell your home quicker and for more money? Okay, I'm a guy, but I do like color and the color of the exterior and interior of a home matters. I live in Olathe, Kansas in Johnson County and there is a standard response I hear when it comes to "What color do I paint my walls? or What color of carpet should we purchase? The standard response I hear is use Johnson County biege! Walls, carpet, everything...! I don't agree with this comment in Olathe and in today's market. I believe buyers are looking for a warm and an inviting feeling when they enter a
