Crazy week is sort of an understatement for the amount of economic insanity we've seen this week. Where to even begin.Let's start with oil, black gold, Texas tea. After a larger than expected build in Crude Oil inventories, the price dropped on Wednesday to roughly $87 a barrel. I can't believe I'm calling this good news, since it wasn't very long ago when everyone talked about crude "hopefully not going over $75.". I guess it's a start and while today (Feb. 8th) oil prices are up over $89, we're still below $90 and it's start and a step in the right … (0 comments)

What news is this. Congress is requesting that Pres. Bush appoint a Mortgage Czar. Wow, we are out of our minds.
Let's look at what a czar is.

fha: House Passes FHA Reform Legislation - 09/19/07 10:43 AM
On September 18, 2007 the U.S. House of Representatives passed H.R. 1852. This is an expansion of the American Homeownership Act of 2007. This bill will do many things if passed by congress and becomes a bill.
1. This would allow mortgage brokers to post a surety bond instead of meeting the audit requirements. This approach would ensure the FHA program is protected and addresses the cost concerns for many brokers.
2. It would also increase the FHA loan limits to better accommodate those borrowers living in high-cost areas of the country.
Now these two are good but it gets better.

fha: FHA Loans Help people in Chapter 13 bankruptcy - 05/24/07 11:00 PM
If you have a Chapter 13 Bankruptcy you can still get a home loan. Do not let people say that you are not able to get a loan when you are paying on chapter 13 bankruptcy. I have worked with couples to help buy them out of Chapter 13 bankruptcies in the past and will continue to do so.
So FHA backed loans can be your friend. Do not feel in despair. Many people in a chapter 13 bankruptcy are struggling to get by. The courts do not give you much room when it comes to how much you pay each month … (0 comments)
