buyer broker: Sometimes Buyers Just get Cold Feet - 12/08/09 10:38 AM
Buying a home; especially for the very First Time; can be one of the most stressful times in a persons life.  While it is a Real Estate agents job to help make the process as smooth and hassle-free as possible; a transaction of buying can cause a lot of anxiety.

Buyers should think long and hard before making a decision to enter into a contract.  When they enter into a contract to purchase; while many times they can get out of the contract for various reasons; nothing makes everyone more upset than a simple "change of mind".

buyer broker: "I don't need an agent. I'm buying from a builder/developer and they will give me a better deal without you." - 09/16/09 05:56 PM
The above line has been told to a great many Real Estate agents across the country.  It actually makes a lot of sense.  If I know I am going to buy a new condo in a building; and I know exactly what I want - why would I need a Realtor?  Especially if they said; "Instead of paying your agent commission, we will give you a 'deal'!"

Every-time I hold an Open House I am always amazed at those (seemingly serious) home buyers that are NOT working with an Agent.  While this; as a REALTOR, is a wonderful thing; that is if I am able to gain some rapport and trust in the 5 minutes I talk with them; I wonder WHY?
Why serious Home Buyers run out to look at homes without "hiring a REALTOR"; amazes and worries me.  But then I remember my first (couple of) homes I bought.  I did not understand Real Estate until years later.  Why did I, a buyer, need a REALTOR?
The point … (2 comments)
