housing market: Fewer Jobless Claims Suggests Higher Home Prices Ahead - 02/15/12 12:51 PM

Economists believe the strength of the 2012 housing market will be closely tied to jobs. If they’re right, the housing market is ripe for a boost. It spells good news for home sellers and may mean the end of bargain-basement prices for buyers.
Since peaking in mid-2009, the number of U.S. workers filing for first-time unemployment benefits has dropped 44 percent. Over the same period of time, the U.S. economy has added more than 2 million jobs and the national Unemployment Rate is down more than 1 percentage point to 8.3%.

housing market: What would happen in Few weeks but not today - 10/25/10 11:07 PM

In the past few days I have seen something that I have been expecting almost every day. I have about more than 100 leads of the home buyers and sellers that they have been telling me that “we will buy home but not today. We probably get in the market in few weeks” and then in few weeks when I check with them they would have said the same “not today but in few days.”
However, this past weekend my phone has been ringing nonstop with the same people who have been almost buying home in few weeks but not … (3 comments)
