Why Do Cats LOVE Christmas Trees? The Christmas Tree is positively without a shadow of a doubt CATNIP for FELINES! What's the Attraction? Plenty of shiny and dangling things; a cat favorite! It is also a NEW THING that the cat just MUST Investigate! They are so inquisitive! Possibly even the new smells or the smell of the outdoors coming inside -- and that is Cat Bliss! Ah! An opportunity to climb which they rarely can resist. According to PETA, you should try and place your Christmas Tree away from surfaces which can be used as "launching pads" (e.g. end tables). Starting December 1st we start seeing the signs all around us that Christmas is in the air around Kenosha, Wisconsin. Starting at my house, we have to make sure our doggies are decked out for when company comes, and there is no better way than Diamond showing off her Santa Dress.
