foreclosures: Home Showings Up - 05/25/12 04:17 AM
Home showings are up in the greater Charlotte market, which included Ballantyne - Waxhaw corridor in South Charlotte.  And in our office alone in Ballantyne we recorded 192 closings the past two months, March and April.
This is due to a drop in the number of foreclosures that have come on the market, as well as robust pursuit of those below market price offerings.  Inventories have dropped significantly over the past twelve months, and the local assorption rate has gone from a 13 month to 9 month supply.

               FHA TO HELP DELIQUENT BORROWERS The FHASecure plan is designed to prevent foreclosures among homeowners who fell behind because the rates went up on their adjustable-rate mortgages. About 60,000 "delinquent-yet-creditworthy" mortgage borrowers will be able to refinance into FHA-insured home loans in the next year or so, an official with the Federal Housing Administration says.
