USA Pro Cycling Challenge Hits Vail, CO Tomorrow - 08/24/11 12:52 PM
 

Tomorrow is the big day in Vail Village!  The USA Pro Cycling Challenge will hit the streets of Vail for Stage 3 of the race, the time trial.  The Town of Vail is expecting 25,000 people to attend the event.  With that many people in the streets of Vail attending this huge event, here are a few tips provided by our local Vail Daily newspaper to help you enjoy the event:

Even though I’m pretty excited to be down 1 lb from last week’s weigh-in I’m even more excited to report a non-scale-related accomplishment...
I ran two ½ marathons the last two weekends! Georgetown to Idaho Springs ½ Marathon (photo: me second from the left with my team prior to the race) and the Diva ½ Marathon in Vail.

It was a lovely weekend here in the Vail Valley of Colorado.  Actually, this whole summer has been pretty darn great!  I spent the weekend riding my road bike, running, hiking, and sitting open houses in both Vail and Beaver Creek. 
Every month, I email my clients a Monthly Market Report of the activity in the resort markets of Vail, Beaver Creek, Bachelor Gulch and Arrowhead.  Included in the Update are also the stats for the whole county for the month prior. Read the July report here.

Hiking in Vail, CO plus Champagne equals bliss! - 08/04/11 03:08 PM
My husband, Andy, totally surprised me last night for our 9th wedding anniversary.  We decided to go for a nice hike on Vail Mountain and then have a drink and appetizer at a restaurant in the Village to celebrate.  So, we're about 1/2 hour into the hike and he pulls off the trail to relieve himself (guys are so lucky when it comes to nature and that act!).  As he's forging through the trees and shrubbery up the side of a hill to find a place away from the trail he screams like he's hurt.
