I love this business.  At any given time your problem solving skills are tested and retested.  I am interested in hearing what other people have done for their clients to unload the proverbial gun about to shoot the deal.

                                                     My Story

I spent last Saturday night watching water run from a hose.  Sure that might sound like fun to some people but not myself.  Now why would the water be running and running you ask?  We were shocking the well.  I bought the chlorine pellets for my client because he could not make it to the spa and pool place before they closed.  Let me take a step back and explain the whole situation.  In case you have not heard the sub prime market is nearly dead compared to the not so distant past.  My client was using a state assistance program to purchase his first home(Yeah for the American Dream!!!).   The water test found coliform in the water.  The state grant required a water test and flagged the coliform issue.  Wouldn't you know the lender asked for the test results after the home inspection contingency period had lapsed.  We would be lucky to even be able to get the water issue corrected in time to close.   Luckily the seller was reasonable and let us shock the well prior to closing.  Obviously in this market it was in the seller's best interest.  I had to be there of course.  The water ran and ran.  After two five hour stretches of draining the well.  The smell of bleach finally subsided.  We got our test results back in time to close on time

Long story short deals happen.  Alot of times you have to be willing to go the extra little bit.   What have you or a Realtor that you know done to get the deal to the closing table.  I fixed one of my client's toilets 4 times to make it to the closing table.  I am looking forward to hearing other peoples funny and serious stories.
