Savvy Buying or Just Confused?

Is today's new home buyer looking more at price than quality? Do they know how to distinguish a well-constructed home from one that is not? How many of the homes being built today will be able to stand the test of time? How much more will future buyers of these homes have to pay for maintenence, energy and repair costs than if more investment were made when these homes were being built?.

My real estate specialty is new construction homes. It's been a family business since the 1960's. I've seen many changes in the way homes are built. And I am always curious as to how buyers think when they buy a new home.

I'd enjoy hearing your personal experiences with building a new home. I want to understand more and more what's on people's minds.
I welcome questions about new construction techiques, particularly in the Omaha, NE area.
Thanks, Dean

Dean Uhing
Project Manager for HOMEBUILDERS, LLC
Agent for Prudential Ambassador Real Estate
