In 1951, Carmon Robert Naples MD (a Doctor practicing in Silver Spring)and his wife Eleanor E Naples purchased a 237 acre farm with a circa 1860's farm house from the Bonifant Family. The old farm house, on a little over 3 acres was sold as a residence and still stands as a private residence on Bonifant Road today. Some of the acreage was sold to the Maryland National Capitol Park and Planning Commission for conservation of Northwest Branch Park. Another part of the acreage became the National Trolley Museum. The house and the rest of the surrounding acreage became the subdivision (5 comments)
