Residents who enjoy growing flowers and food, but live in urban cities with no real space to garden find these community gardens a delight. There are 2 Community Gardens in Takoma Park run by the Montgomery County Parks System.Maple Avenue Container Garden7620 Maple AvenueTakoma Park, Maryland 20912This garden is not on park land. It runs along Maple Ave. in Takoma Park and is an above ground container garden on an apartment parking lot. Each container is 2 ft x 6 ft and has a water reserve so they are self- wicking.
