Tax Changes Affecting Individuals and Families in the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 The recently enacted "American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009" (the 2009 economic stimulus act) contains a wide-ranging tax package that includes tax relief for low and moderate-income wage earners, individuals and families with college expenses, and home and car purchasers. I'm sending this information to my fellow Flower Mound Chamber of Commerce Members to give an overview of the more widely applicable tax changes affecting individuals and families in the new law that you may find helpful to know.

Below is a great article regarding the recent $7500 home buyer tax credit that was passed by Congress.  They are considering repealing the repayment aspect of the credit.  With interest rates low and housing prices very affordable across the metroplex there may never be a better time to buy than now.
