And yes, we may be experiencing rough times.
But aren't we thankful that we are able to

MOTHERS DAY! That special day in May when we make a special effort to honor our Mothers and show appreciation for all that they have done for us.
A day of breakfast in bed, being showered with gifts and flowers and many other mementos that show Mom how much she means to you! For some it is just a phone call or a beautiful card in the mail, for others it can be a large family gathering and special meal prepared together or an easy dinner out in Moms favorite restaurant.

He will be visiting throughout the city atop a firetruck!

Last week one of my girlfriends sent me an email invitation to come to her annual Christmas Party! But this Christmas Party invite had a twist to it...It said Girls Only! The instructions were to bring your favorite appeteaser, BYOB and a gift to play Dirty Santa, It will be a blast! Hmmmm....Now THAT sounded like FUN!

Last night we attended "The Grand Christmas Tree Lighting" at The Wharf in Orange Beach, Alabama!
It was a very nice event, with Santa Clause arriving on the Orange Beach firetruck coming down Main Street with his cheery voice shouting "Merry Christmas" to all the children!
There was a large crowd that filled the streets and everyone joined in the countdown as the switch was pulled and the very tall and beautiful tree burst into an array of bright twinkling white lights!

CHRISTMAS TREE LIGHTING CEREMONY
Monday December 1
Pelham Civic Complex on Amphitheater Road
The Pelham Beautification Board members will be giving away 1,000 Pelham Christmas ornaments at the door, a wonderful collectible for those in attendance!
The pre-festivities will begin at 6:25 with singing by the Valley Elementary School second graders, at 6:30 there will be ice skating performances by the Pelham Skate School students followed at 6:45 with the Pelham High School Jazz Band.
The tree lighting program will begin at 7:00 in the main arena.

Yes, it is definitely that time of year again! The temperature has dropped, the heat kicks on and we wake up in the morning with that feeling of...."Brrrrrr It is too COLD outside to show houses, or work on the signage, or go on caravan to preview homes!"
