parks: Patchwork Farms coming to Vestavia Hills Alabama! - 05/05/09 10:54 PM

This 87 acre parcel of land in Vestavia Hills, Alabama that was originally a horse farm, was purchased in the 1960's by the Thuss family and later sold to the City of Vestavia Hills in 2007. The prime location between Caldwell Mill Road and the Cahaba River and just around the block from the Colonade shopping center is slated for residential and commercial development and will include a vast array of athletic fields and parks.

You will enjoy shopping and dining in OLD TOWN HELENA where the historical town has been preserved into a quaint shopping village with restaurants and specialty shops.
The OUTDOOR AMPHITHEATER is a place for concerts, festivals, movies, weddings and special events. Some of the annual events held here include The Annual Buck Creek Festival, Sundown Cinemas, Helena Summer Concert Series, the July 4th Celebration featuring Elvis in Concert, Three on a String Concert and the Civil War Re-enactment.
