Van Buren Chamber helped to host the Vintage Car Rally on Monday.
The drivers and their cars arrived Monday around 11:45 and parked the cars around the courthouse. The children form the Van Buren Boys & Girls Club waved fags and cheered as they came around the courthouse. The chamber ambassadors greeted them and escorted them to the Restaurant for lunch. My job was to greet them and offer them cold water.
Some of the drivers who were driving the topless cars thought it amusing when we ask if they would like water. It had been raining on them most of the day and more water was not what they wanted.
Even though it had rained most of the morning it wasn't really hot and didn't rain very hard.
It was a lot of fun and I got to visit with one of the drivers from Oregon. She saw I was with RE/MAX of Van Buren and asked about our market. I replied as I often do with the positive it's a good time to buy a home. She said she was trying to sell her home. So I replied, you are going to need a good REALTOR.
It is a great time to buy a home in Van Buren and surrounding areas. The interest rates a low, the selection is great, and the sellers are pricing their homes where they can be competitive.
Sometimes you have got to have a little rain before YOU SEE THE RAINBOW!.
