Why Do We Fall Back and Spring Ahead? Well that is a great question. I decided to find out just why we do this twice a year. In the wee hours of Sunday morning we will be switching from Day Light Savings Time (DST) to Standard Time.
DST was actually started in 1918 but not widely followed. It was left up to local communities on whether or not they wanted to change their clocks back and forward.
