beaches: Almost Wordless Wednesday - Life's A Beach! - 06/24/09 09:02 AM

 
While sitting outside the condo in Boca Grande, FL over the Memorial Day weekend, I found the greatest shells and a sea urchin for my collection.  This photo, now my desktop background, makes me relaxed and happy.  It's sooooo hot out, I wish I was there now.

Yes, you're right, Orlando is not on the coastline - I noticed.  But, in less than an hour you can be on my favorite Florida beaches in your chair soaking up the sun and listening to the waves crashing on the shore.  The best of both worlds, yes... you just might be onto something.

New Smyrna Beach Panama City Beach St. Augustine Beach Boca Grande/Sanibel Island Islamorada/The Florida Keys The sand and the surf are two of the reasons that I moved to Florida over 20 years ago.

beaches: Everybody's Working For The Weekend! New Smyrna Beach Florida - 06/13/08 04:50 PM


Where do the  locals go to beat the heat on the weekends?  New Smyrna Beach!  Less than an hour away are some of the best beaches in Florida.  I've been enjoying the sun and surf in New Smyrna for over 20 years... 
New Smyrna Beach is located between Cocoa Beach to the South and Daytona Beach to the North.  Why New Smyrna? 
You can drive on the beach and park steps away from the surf. Less "tourists" than Cocoa Beach & Daytona.  Small town / Nostalgic "old Florida" Feeling Great Restaurants
