things to do: Orlando is as Cold as Ice! - 08/09/08 03:14 PM
Yesterday it was 98° outside and I was wearing jeans, a long sleeve shirt, insulated vest and the thickest socks that I own. I was sweating before I ever walked out the door of my house. I picked up my two young friends who were ready and waiting for me... they too were bundled up and brought mittens to boot. A quick ride to RDV Sports in Orlando and we were back, back to one of our favorite places to beat the heat... The Ice Den. There is nothing better than ice skating in the middle of August; no humidity just crisp, cold air. The Ice Den has open

things to do: Zellwood Sweet Corn Festival 2008: Get Your Corn On May 24th & 25th - 05/22/08 06:29 PM
The 35th Annual Zellwood Sweet Corn Festival gets underway this Saturday. If you haven't attended, take a ride out on 441 and and enjoy the corn, music and fun. The folks in Zellwood are serious about their corn. It is amazing to watch "BIG BERTHA" work. They can cook 1,650 ears of corn every 9 minutes in 350 gallons of boiling water. The best part is the butter bath afterward... I'm getting hungry already. If you are looking for something to do this holiday weekend. Take a trip out to Zellwood and experience natures best corn, picked fresh off the farm

things to do: She Walked All Over Me at the Ritz Carlton, Orlando Grande Lakes! - 03/04/08 10:21 PM
Contrary to popular belief you really can have another REALTOR as a close friend, it isn't all about competition. Last month my friend asked me to cover her business while she went out of town for a family emergency. While she was away I negotiated a contract on one of her listings, completed the inspections and held an Open House that she had planned weeks in advance. A thank you was sufficient, but she went overboard... she treated me to a massage at the Ritz. A few weeks earlier she told me about a massage called Ashiatsu, a deep tissue massage that is performed with the masseuse's feet... yes I said

things to do: Five Things To Do in Central Florida in March - 03/03/08 08:28 AM
1. Attend an Atlanta Braves Spring Training Game at Disney's Wide World of Sports. We have been attending the games for the past several years and there is nothing like a day at the ballpark with a hot-dog and a coke. It's the all American pastime and at the end of the game the kids get to run the bases... it is a riot. Tickets are still available! 2. Spend a day on the course, the golf course that is. The Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill Club & Lodge is being held March 12 - 16,2008 . This is my first year to
