Yesterday it was 98° outside and I was wearing jeans, a long sleeve shirt, insulated vest and the thickest socks that I own. I was sweating before I ever walked out the door of my house. I picked up my two young friends who were ready and waiting for me... they too were bundled up and brought mittens to boot. A quick ride to RDV Sports in Orlando and we were back, back to one of our favorite places to beat the heat... The Ice Den.

Join the mayor of Orlando, Buddy Dyer for this annual event at Lake Eola in Downton Orlando.
Live entertainment begins at 4 p.m. The Orlando Concert Band performs in the Amphitheater at 8 p.m.
Also, on site will be six of Central Florida's top radio stations: Star 94.5, AM 580 WDBO, 98.9 WMMO, Power 95.3, 96.5 WHTQ and K92FM.

Seminole County's Celebration (hosted by XL 106.7) is held in Uptown Altamonte on the eve of July 4th with live performances from some of today' top singers and groups and last but not least... AWESOME FIREWORKS.
This event does not allow coolers or pets and is always packed. There are many food, beverage and souvenir vendors onsite. Check out the official website here for more information.

The 35th Annual Zellwood Sweet Corn Festival gets underway this Saturday. If you haven't attended, take a ride out on 441 and and enjoy the corn, music and fun.
The folks in Zellwood are serious about their corn. It is amazing to watch "BIG BERTHA" work. They can cook 1,650 ears of corn every 9 minutes in 350 gallons of boiling water. The best part is the butter bath afterward... I'm getting hungry already.

In a previous post - Five Things To Do In Central Florida In March, one of my suggestions includes the Arnold Palmer invitational. I bought tickets to the tournament weeks ago for my husband's birthday, hoping that I would have an opportunity to see Tiger Woods. ESPN has just reported that Tiger is playing and I checked his website and his next scheduled tournament is The AP Invitational... YEAH!

Contrary to popular belief you really can have another REALTOR as a close friend, it isn't all about competition. Last month my friend asked me to cover her business while she went out of town for a family emergency. While she was away I negotiated a contract on one of her listings, completed the inspections and held an Open House that she had planned weeks in advance. A thank you was sufficient, but she went overboard... she treated me to a massage at the Ritz.

1. Attend an Atlanta Braves Spring Training Game at Disney's Wide World of Sports. We have been attending the games for the past several years and there is nothing like a day at the ballpark with a hot-dog and a coke.
