Help me, I think I’m falling...(Pride goeth before the fall. But what about the - "Pride After the Fall?")
Last Friday morning, while running on one of my favorite trails, I tripped over a tree root, lost my balance and found myself airborne. Since nature failed to grace me with wings, gravity took over - roughly and abruptly. Feeling a bit dazed, I sat up and checked for damage. Sure enough, blood was beginning to ooze through the rocks and dirt on my palm, elbow and knee.
