Saturday evening my husband and I and another couple went out to Rocky Hill for the evening.  It is a great "undiscovered" spot to go for a cold brew and a burger and some tunes on the weekends.  Saturday night there was a booking error and TWO bands played, which was awesome!  The kitchen was closed as they are renovating, but we could still get an awesome burger from the outside grill.   I was a little disappointed that I couldn't get any fried pickles ( they are the … (0 comments)

NO MORE TELEVISION NEWS FOR ME...ENOUGH OF THE NEGATIVE BOMBARDMENT! - 06/08/08 08:56 AM
Okay, I have had my fill of all of the negatives that the media, in particular, television media,  thows at us every day. 
Friday night after a grueling work week my husband and I turned on the nightly news while we wound down and sipped a glass of nice Cab.    The nightly  news was sickning. 
The feature stories were: a murder, a fatal car crash, a shooting, finding a deceseased individual in their home but no foul play suspected, the state of the economy driving someone from their home...it just went on and on!

I have been trying to figure out how to build up my tag cloud with some good positive words.  Not sure how the tag cloud really works, am just assuming it is another great way to market yourself and your services and interests as a Realtor (I am still fairly new to Active Rain). 
So I decided that I would put the following words in not just in the blog but in the tag line itself.  I can't wait to post it and see if they show up in the cloud any bigger.

Dukes first trip to the beach.........Matagorda, Texas - 06/02/08 10:33 AM
My husband and I decided that we needed to take our old german shorthair, Duke, to a beach, while he was still mobile. We are about 2.5 hours from Matagorda so we packed a picnic lunch and headed that way on Sunday. It was an easy drive from Bastrop 71 to 90 to 60 and down to the beach. It was a glorious day. Surf was mild, water was perfect, weather was totally beachy! Duke was not as impressed with the beach as we thought he would be. His Rock You presentation will tell the story below. Enjoy!
