Grandaughters pictures from our Maui HI vacation...what a photographer! - 07/27/08 10:18 AM
We went to Hawaii this last month for some much needed R & R and took our 15 year old granddaughter, Carli, with her new camera. She took a lot of photos but these are a few of her favorites. The American Flag waving in the breeze at dusk, a Maui sunset, swimming with the sea turtles, walking on the Lahina beach, and the final sunset as we drove to the airport to fly home. We are hoping that Carli will pursue photography as she gets older... we really think she has an eye for it!This is our budding young photographer on (13 comments)

Day before yesterday it was looking pretty cloudy outside. I was told many years ago that if you want it to rain you need to throw out some salt. Things have been pretty dry here ( an understatement!) so I raced out with a big hand full of salt, and sure enough within about 15 minutes we had a downpour, almost a half inch! Now I am not saying that my participation in this old wives tale did the trick but until we pull out of this dry spell I think I am going to burn thru a little salt! If (3 comments)

Smithville Texas home of the movie Hope Floats, and now also home of Tree of Life which is in the can! - 07/02/08 06:40 AM
I was fortunate enough to be at the right place and the right time when the production company began scouting locations for the movie Tree of Life with Brad Pitt. Their locations department identified my listing at 502 Olive - a Texas Historical Home as a potential location for shooting and it was approved. My listing Clients and I took it off the market during the production. They also used my listing at 109 Ashley - a beautiful home on the Colorado River for some water shots. In preparing and presenting the rental agreement for 502 Olive I had the opportunity to (2 comments)
