The other day I was doing a final walk through on a home I was helping my Client purchase in Cedar Hills just outside of Elgin in Bastrop County. After the walk through was done and my Clients and I went our seperate ways I took a couple of minutes to drive through the subdivision for a look see. It was a lovely fall day with cooler weathter that is much appreciated in these parts as we had such a long hot, dry summer! La Reata Ranch is a lovely equestrian friendly subdivision located about 15 miles south of Bastrop on 304. There is a lovely formal entry that greets you that is not gated.
How is the access and what about utilities in La Reata?
The roads in La Reata Ranch are all paved and telephone and electric services are available at the road to each lot. Well and septic are needed.

I recently drove through Riverside Grove here in Bastrop County Texas to preview a listed property for one of my Clients and I took a few extra minutes to take some pictures of the subdivsion which I put in to a short video presentation of the area and homes in Riverside Grove. Some of the highlights of the area are two schools within a very short walking distance. The subdivision has an active homeowners association and light covenants. Colo Vista was once a private estate located in the pines a few miles outside of Bastrop Texas. The highlight of this Central Texas estate was it's 15,000 sq. ft. greek revival residence that had a 22 ft. ceiling, marble floors, and Waterford Crystal chandeliers.
Subdivided the residence and approx. 10 acres became a beautiful club house for the Colo Vista Golf Course. Lots were platted and sold along the course.
