With over 300 Fortune 500 Companies represented in the Charlotte area, our real estate market has not followed market trends as in other cities in the U.S. This is also due to our constant influx of banking transferrees and our growing economy.
Myers Park real estate is not experiencing nearly the problems that other neighborhoods in other cities are currently experiencing but, right now, Myers Park Sellers are extremely 'stressed!' Here, Sellers are used to seeing their homes "fly off of the market" with contracts, oftentimes within the first day on the market.

For my first report in 2008, Eastover's numbers are extremely encouraging for our Charlotte market! Here are the statistics comparing 2006 to 2007 sales and days on the market of single family homes in EASTOVER:
Conclusion:
Eastover Sales were up 20% from 2006 in 2007. As well, 2007 Days on the market were DOWN 14% from 2006!
How's that for positive stats to start 2008! Happy New Year!
