Wordless Wednesday - Our Sweet Lucy - Those EYES!
Lucy's huge, bright eyes are like sparkling stars - they seem to radiate with wonder! We love her in her adorable, pink headbands too!
She is just so precious and so ready to explore and absorb every bit of beauty this world has to offer. At five months old, Lucy is the epitome of innocence. I am sure, she’s beginning a journey filled with joyous discoveries.
We pray that her bright, glistening eyes are reflective of the bright future that lies ahead for Lucy and her entire generation.

Lake Wylie sunsets are more than just a pretty picture. They're a symphony of nature's artistry - a moment of serenity amidst the bustle of our crazy lives! Silhouettes drift across the bubbly surface n the fading light of the sun.
The magic of a Lake Wylie sunset isn't confined to one season. Winter drapes the scene in a cool, ethereal glow, with chalk-like drawings across the sky - an absolutely breathtaking sight to behold!

Wordless Wednesday - Summer Flowers Still in BloomOne of my favorite grocers always has beautiful flowers and this week I found that, despite the chilly weather the past couple of weeks, their flowers are still brilliantly colorful.
I keep a bouquet on my kitchen island every day of the year so, it's nice that I can keep the 'summery' feel inside, even if it's becoming sweater-weather outdoors!

Wordless Wednesday - One for the Coffee Table Book!Last year, I created a book for Ray with photos and 'captions' - "A Decade of Our Lives Together" and he loved it. I've threatened several times to create a coffee table book with sunset photos I have taken over the last 3 years. This one MAY just make the cover!

I was gifted a super soft, perfect-fit of a sweatshirt yesterday and excitedly brought it home to show Ray. I laid it over the chair at our table and realized that I have been in love with Tiffany blue for decades! Yes, I went home (to Savvy + Company brokerage) after 7 years but, I never stopped choosing the turquoise blue when it came to everything from clothing to furniture...and even dog dishes (see photo - dining chair, rug, bar chair and dog dish)!

Wordless Wednesday - Sunset #10
I arrived home this evening, rushing to check texts and emails so Ray and I could go sit by the fire and watch the sunset together. We had a contractor stop by to check something in our crawl space and I was sure we were going to miss tonight's show.
Thankfully, we were able to head out, just in time to capture this jaw-dropping sunset. The reflection in the water really does WOW you!

Reading Anna Banana Kruchten CRS CRB, Phoenix Broker's post today about flowers that her client gave her, prompted this post. My first thought when reading Anna's blog was that her flowers lived so long because they sensed a 'happy home.' Sure enough, reading through the comments, I saw that Dorie Dillard CRS GRI ABR shared my same exact thought!
For years, I have kept flowers in my home and can always count on them lasting for a long time. I attribute it to changing the water frequently and keeping those positive vibes circulating throughout the home!

While no one is fond of wearing masks, our state does mandate that we do in public places - indoors or outdoors if we cannot socially distance. We see signs in the windows of every store that a mask is required - some are state signs, others are professionally designed, while others are hand-written. I had to take Ray to the dentist this week and found this lovely sidewalk design by CLT Chalk Art at the entry for the business complex.

The search continues (albeit, it's going very slow right now) for that elusive 'perfect' lake lot! While we have built the last 3 of our homes, getting 'almost' exactly what we wanted, finding an older lake house with amazing views is a wee bit more challenging!

We all hear the stories and often complain about service animals - especially when it comes to rental properties and tenants. During the last week since I returned home from leaving my husband under the care of a specialized medical team (for two months), I began video conferencing with Ray from home. Each time we chat, one or all 3 of our fur babies is/are in the room with me and I always put my laptop on their level or put them in my lap, so Ray can see them on his screen in Denver.

This cat seems to be able to get comfortable anywhere but, she loves the throws we keep on our couches. She now has one on our bed and in her favorite chair too. You'd think in 100º temperatures, she would have nothing to do with being enveloped in these furry blankets but, she still finds her comfort on these plush throws!

Do you have any stories of homeowners being crazier than their dogs? I have more than I can count - there have been times that I like the dogs more than the homeowner!
I really bought this magnet for my hubby who has an incredibly dry wit. We often give him grief for having a bark bigger than his bite!

This dog cracks me up - he carries his stuffed toy around all of the time - not only his toy but, Barney's toys too! On occasion, Duke hides Barney's toy and then takes his own toy to bed with him. No kidding, this dog is crazy about his toys...and everybody elses too!

I love home inspections - you always learn something new or see something that just makes you shake your head. Today's inspection was buzzing with excitement in the walls of a million-dollar property that took us a bit of time to figure where the critters making all of the noise were getting in...and out.
Found it! Weep holes in the brick facade... Of course, I let the listing agent know and I'm sure the sellers have already contacted their pest control company.

Each year, spring is anticipated like no other season here in Charlotte. This year, we've yearned for spring more than ever before! As the cherry trees began to bloom and the green buds on the trees formed, we knew the most exciting sign of spring was just around the corner - and they're here! The tulips are now blooming all over SouthPark and other parts of Charlotte...and we couldn't be happier!

Wordless Wednesday - Miss Grace
Ray & I finally got to meet our new grand-kitty in person this evening! Oh my gosh, is she ever adorable! She loves her big brother (Chillz) who is only about 3 years old but, he's quite calm for a 3-year old. He doesn't quite know what to think of this energetic bundle of fur!
Miss Grace much preferred following her big brother around - far more than the human attention we were all giving her! She was in Ray's lap for a few seconds and then off to continue the pursuit of her furry playmate (who really didn't care to play).
