It looks like the Chrysler Plant is going to cut costs.  They will be laying off a total of 2400 workers.

Due to the flooding of the Mississippi and the high waters around the St. Louis Arch, I didn't think St. Louis was celebrating the 4th of July this year.  However, it has just been moved.

Have you been wondering how the flood of '93 compares to this year's flooding?  I have, so I did a little research.
In 1993, hundreds of levees failed along the Mississippi and Missouri Rivers.  So far, 31 levees have been breached between southern Iowa and St. Louis and more are threatened.

Tragedy hit the Philippines Saturday. Typhoon Fengshen overturned the Princess of the Stars ferry carrying 864 people!  764 of them were passengers. I saw on the news this evening that this May is the wettest month EVER in the St. Louis, MO area.   Our normal rain total for the month of May is 4.11 inches.
