Pueblo - America's Home of Heroes
In 1993 the US Congress proclaimed Pueblo, Colorado to be "America's Home Of Heroes". At that time, Pueblo held the distinction of being the only city in America with FOUR living recipients of the Medal of Honor: William J. Crawford (WWII), Carl L. Sitter and Raymond G. “Jerry” Murphy (Korea) and Drew D. Dix (Vietnam). The Medal of Honor is the highest military award that can be bestowed upon a member of the United States Armed Forces.
