Adverse Possession - 07/15/11 12:43 PM
Saw this on the local news last night. Thought it was interesting.

A colleague of mine has had this happen to a client. The home owner moved out of state and leased the house to a tenant. The home went into foreclosure and the tenant filed adverse possession paperwork at the courthouse. The home owner can't afford to bring his mortgage up to date. The bank doesn't want to launch an expensive legal attack.
Very strange situation.
What do you think?
