This week is National Veteran's Awareness Week and Tuesday is Veteran's Day. Originally intended to celebrate the signing of the Armistice ending World War 1, we now honor the service of all veterans. I joined the military just after the Vietnam War ended. Sears recently created the Heroes at Home Wish Registry program so that the American public can help make a military family's wishes come true during the holiday season. Between Nov. 2, 2008 and Dec. 25, 2008, Sears will feature eligible military personnel, their families and the items on their wish lists on the Wish Registry and will invite America to fulfill these wishes by purchasing and donating a Sears gift card.
