I am in awe of some of the people that jumped into the Rain early on in the first few years. I didn't know about it at all and wonder now what rock I was under. Those early engagers are definitely Oldies in ActiveRain.
These Oldies know most of the ins and outs and have seen the changes, established great relationships and are realizing the benefits of years of blogging. I Sent My First ActiveRain Referral - Whoopee, the good stuff is beginning to happen. I have been active in ActiveRain for a lttle over a year. I have read lots of success stories about how business was coming from blogging. I heard people say that they had received or sent referrals through the AR family. I hear that a lot from members in the Rain that just signed up as members. There are even some members that have been around the Rain for years that are still just members. Though there is nothing at all wrong with this approach, some of the services and benefits are not open to you unless you are a Rainmaker. You are missing out on some of the best parts.

With New Improvements Come New Problems. I am really enjoying the new blog editor in ActiveRain. Being able to choose font size, color and having a word counter and autosave are my favorite features.
But I noticed as soon as this was introduced earlier this week, the re-blog feature didn't work. For the first few times I decided it was me or my computer or even my internet connection. Spam Prevention Puzzles- Frequent users of the internet have seen the conglomeration of letters that certain websites ask you to type in for access to their sites. I call these Spam Prevention Puzzles. ActiveRain uses these in their email side of things and I must say, theirs are some of the best at keeping computer spamming out. They are also some of the best at challenging my mind because of their complexity. I have to be very patient and allow a little more time to “decipher the code”.

A Piece of Toilet Paper on My Shoe. A year ago my husband and I were on a flight traveling. As we were nearing the airport I decided to take a quick pit stop while still on the plane and beat the rush that hurries to the restrooms in the terminal. Annoyed And I Don't Know What To Do About It. Here is the situation, I presented an offer to a listing agent about six weeks ago on a short sale of his. At the time of presentation, I had the HUD estimate, all signed disclosures, the preapproval letter and the offer to purchase. My part was complete.

Think Your Blogs Are Being Overlooked? It is incredible how have many good posts are being entered each day on ActiveRain. I have noticed that there are heavy traffic times when the posts are just pouring in. Unless you are a very gifted speed reader and spends hours and hours on ActiveRain you can't possibly read them all.
