3 Weeks Away Until Clarksville Downtown Market Opens It seems the market opens later and later each year. For 2018, the opening day is on Memorial Day Weekend, May 26. This is not soon enough for me. Produce is coming into the local stores but we will have to wait for the familiar vendors to come to the Clarksville Downtown Market. This is an outdoor market held on Public Square. Once it opens it will continue on most Saturdays until mid-October. The opening time is 8am to midday.

The Clarksville Downtown Market has it's final market of the season on Saturday Oct. 14. This has been a great season and the vendors have been exceptional. Some came only a few times and others were there every week. This makes each week fun and different. Clarksville Downtown Market has had a full array of colorful fruits and veggies, crafts and foods. Now that fall is here the fall flowers, gourds, squashes, pumpkins, Indian Corn and fall decor are big items.

Strawberries In Clarksville, TN it is strawberry picking time. There are several pick-it-yourself farms within a 20 minute drive of town. I don't pick every year because time gets away from me. Thank goodness the roadside stands and produce markets have farmers willing to do the picking for those of us that don't have time to do it. I don't mind paying a little more to have my berries picked for me and get fresh ones right from the garden. Fresh picked berries are the best, the sweetest and have such a good aroma. The market is a Clarksville tradition that locals look forward to attending.
