Any time of the week the admission is reasonable but one time a month it is absolutely free. What a great time to bring the whole family and spend the day or the afternoon seeing the exhibits and part of Clarksville's history. Check the schedule of permanent exhibits and features being offered at the Museum. This is by far the most unique building in Clarksville and has an interesting history. Kiwanis Rodeo Comes to Clarksville For the 27th year the Kiwanis Rodeo is back in Clarksville and promoters are saying this is going to be the best one yet. The dates are Friday, May 30 and Saturday, May 31. Starting time is 7:00pm and the location again this year is the Montgomery County 4H Arena on Rossview Rd. just a mile from I-24 at Exit 8. This is a nationally sanctioned PCRA event. Come see real cowboys and cowgirls compete for big prize money.

Surrender of Clarksville Commemoration at Ft. Defiance The 152nd Anniversary of the Surrender of Clarksville is coming soon to Ft. Defiance in Clarksville TN. For you history buffs, Ft. Defiance was a fort that was controlled at one time or another by both the Union Troops and Confederate Army during the Civil War.
The Anniversary Commemoration of the Surrender of Clarksville will be held at Ft. Defiance Civil War Park & Interpretive Center on 120 Duncan Street. The fort was primarily occupied by Union Soldiers as Clarksville was a prime location fo transport on the Cumberland River.

Swim Lesson Sign Ups in Clarksville Knowing how to swim is an important skill. Clarksville Parks and Recreation is again offering swim lessons this summer at several area pools for all different skill levels. The lessons are in June and July for age categories Mommy & Me to adults. Skill levels go to Level 6 which is the most advanced.
