Lend a Hand, Serving a Veteran on Veteran's Day

I am so glad to have been a part of our annual Clarksville Association of Realtors® service project on Veteran's Day. CAR Gives Back, as we call it, identifies a needy Veteran in our area that we can serve with our resources and collaborative labor and efforts. We are always looking for our next project.
On Veteran's Day, several dozen Realtors® and other volunteers gathered at the home of a deserving disabled Vet. He needed help with his yard, tree trimming and garage organization. We trimmed bushes, low hanging tree limbs, raked leaves, swept and cleaned … (19 comments)

veterans day: I Am Thankful for My Veteran - 11/10/12 06:13 AM
I Am Thankful for My Veteran. My son serves in the U.S. Navy at Great Lakes, Illinois. Although he doesn’t serve on a ship or in a war region, he does his part rallying the troops and increasing morale. He is a trombonist in the Navy Band. We all know that it is inspiring hearing any military band play the music that is so closely related to our country’s history and allegiance. He works most weekends and holidays promoting the Navy Band, playing in ceremonies and parades on the base and in the communities. He rarely gets a holiday off and sometimes … (17 comments)
