Following is a look at El Dorado Hills average price per square foot for sold homes over the last two years in comparison to Cameron Park and Folsom (our surrounding communities). Proof once again that real estate is local! El Dorado Hills is located on the western edge of El Dorado County. Just west of it, in Sacramento County sits the town of Folsom. I Love My Solar Power I just got my recent PG&E bill and I love my solar power! On our last two houses we have added solar power to heat our pools but last spring we also added photovoltaic solar to power our home's electricity. I am "green" by heart and have been a recycler for years. Throwing money each month to PG&E just killed me but the costs to put in the solar system until this year still were too high in my husband's mind so we waited. Heads Up When Temperatures DropLast night our temperatures in the El Dorado Hills area dropped to just above 30 degrees. When I woke up there was a covering of frost in our yard to where it looked like snow. Typically our average low temperature is 39 degrees. Our record low for January 10th, was 30 degrees in 1962. For the most part, it is uncomfortable for us if we have to venture out, but at these low temperatures some of the plants we grow so well here start to suffer.
