Pleasant Grove Middle School PTO is hosting a HOLIDAY SHOPALOOZA this Saturday, November 16th 11AM-4PM. What better way to support the local PTO and do some holiday shopping at the same time?!!!

Yesterday my family and I drove the Road to Hana. Instead of driving back home the same way we decided to drive the rest of the way around the island. More proof of the life lesson in regards to the grass looking greener on the other side of the fence when in actuality is most often not the case as it has its own problems.

Living here in El Dorado Hills and doing our own yardwork and plantings (for the most part) I can tell you that there are a lot of rocks in these hills! That coupled with our clay soil makes digging a hole even for a small 4" pot a chore! This tool is a must have for gardeners and landscapers in El Dorado Hills. We are able to dig a hole in a fraction of the time it would take otherwise. It comes in handy for moving plants too!

I made my poor husband move a large shrub (5' X 5' at least) that was blocking our view. Wrong Plant, Wrong Place. But it looks so much better. No regrets!!!

This is a western view from a beautiful home in the Kalithea neighborhood. On the left is Kalithea Park. What you can see straight out is the Sacramento Valley over top of Folsom. It was a little hazy this day but I can imagine the lights at night are a sight to see!

I was driving past our Highland View neighborhood park (Murray Homestead Park) the other day and couldn't telp but notice the beautiful display of poppies! Had to share! The California Poppy (botanical name- Eschscholtzia californica ) became our state flower in 1903. April 6th was designated as California Poppy Day. They are both an annual and a perennial here in California.

Don't Take Away My Dropbox Take away my iPad as I have my trusty laptop, take away my camera as I have my phenomenal Android, but Don't Take Away My Dropbox. This month Active Rain friends, Adobe Echo Sign have asked us to blog about what tool is indispensable in our business. For me that indispensable tool would be Dropbox. It always puts a smile on my face when I go through the town area of Fair Oaks and see the chickens. These two guys in the top picture were not the least bit afraid of my car. I even honked!
