ohio: Maumee, Ohio – Rolf Park Swimming Pool - 08/27/10 12:45 PM
We recently had the privilege of visiting Maumee's Rolf Park pool.  My wife, kids, and I all agree that it's a great place to swim & play.   It's great for all different ages, as well (I have 4, ages:  11, 4, 3 & 1).  The older kids can use the water slides while the younger ones enjoy the "jungle gym" and different stations in the shallow waters.  We swam & played for nearly 4 hours and we all had a blast.  It's a little pricey, but, I believe, well worth the money (30 bucks for 5 of us).  We plan on getting … (3 comments)

ohio: Breaker Breaker 1-9 - 01/22/10 02:54 PM
We have an electrical emergency!  Maybe I should rephrase the total to Breaker, Breaker, Four!!  Because this "updated" electrical system had a whopping 4 breakers for the entire house!  Additionally, they were all 15 amp breakers!  Now there was a separate 220v breaker for the stove and dryer, thankfully.

Let me break this down, quickly:  Bedrooms, living rooms and family rooms where only lights, alarm clocks and other small electrical items are usually used are normally on 15-amp circuits. Kitchens, laundry/utility rooms, bathrooms and dining rooms-places where you're more likely to use toasters, irons, hair dryers and other higher-wattage items-are … (5 comments)

ohio: Bowling Green Ohio Home Inspector sees a sign that its time.... - 09/04/09 07:05 AM
....time to switch, pun intended (SEE PIC), gears and get into football mode.  This means eating more, drinking more, being lazier, and spending way too much time in front of the tube.  I think God created men's bodies to automatically adjust to the football season.
Anyway, I saw this light switch cover at yesterday's inspection, and I knew it was a "sign".  Of course being a Michigan fan living in Ohio isn't easy, because of this kind of stuff I normally see, surrrounded in a sea of Buckeye fans.  All I can say is..... Go Blue!
