delaware events: A Quick Winterthur Yuletide Tour - 12/10/20 08:22 PM
Every Christmas season, I visit Winterthur Museum to see the Yuletide Tour.  Well, talk about a "quick tour," this one sure fit the description.
Due to Covid restrictions, the display was abbreviated and I'm sure took much less work setting it up than it did in the past. But, not being behind the scenes, it was probably more complicated and difficult to keep the elves who decorated the trees six feet from one another.

delaware events: Delaware's Own Chinese Festival Coming to Hockessin - 08/10/16 06:10 AM
I always look forward to the Chinese Festival in Hockessin, Delaware. It is appearing late on the summer calendar, because apparently they had construction going on earlier.
I am sure it will be a great event--I have been going for at least 10 years, dating back to pre-air conditioning in this re-purposed school. It has been quite a few years since the Chinese American Community Center cooled off, and hopefully the singers, dancers, instrumentalists, yo-yo and martial arts performers will be at their best.
