I believe in a win-win scenario when it comes to real estate transactions.  I am sure that many of you do as well.  Finding a buyer, however, isn't that easy.  I mean a qualified, ready, willing and able buyer.  The kind that knows exactly what they want (ahem) and to whom you don't have to show 30 homes before half heartedly making an offer on one (usually, the first one you showed them...).  :)
Educating the consumer is key; it's about helping them find what it is that they truly desire in a home.  Helping them with financing, offering to genuinely consult with them … (2 comments)

Justifying our services to our clients is easy.  But, where do we draw the line in what we provide them for information on things like, advertising expense and tactic and the time we spend on their property?  How many of us are "full disclosure"? … (0 comments)

Less than 5% of homes are sold as a result of open houses.  The number of qualified, active buyers, in my experience is less and less, especially with virtual tours and on-line slide shows.  So why are still doing them?

I have a great Victorian in Providence that has been on the market for a little more than 6 months.  The property needs nothing; perfectly staged, professionally decorated and pristine in condition.  Classically; lots of showings, no offers.  Price seems to be the major objection; location plays a role as well.  Advertising all over the internet, coordinating to have a feature done in the local paper, and have been contacted by the NY Times on a piece that they are doing.  Any other suggestions? … (6 comments)
