Shadow Inventory equals delinquent loans, foreclosures, and REO properties which have NOT reached the market.
Morgan Stanley and Standard & Poor, predicts four years to wade through the tide of foreclosures which they estimate to be 8 Million.  The shadow inventory of homes yet to move through the foreclosure process is going to take approximately 47 months to clear at the current sales rate in the market.
