The tiny town of Rye Colorado sits on highway 165 in the San Isabel forest. Once named Table Top Mountain the name was shortened to save the post master grief. A beautifully forested area, and home of the rediscovered Green Back Cut Throat Trout and Bishops Castle. The population of approx 200 swells with tourists in the summer months. While visiting the area go to Lake Isabel and Beckwith Reservoir, Camp, day hike or rent a cabin.

Stop by 7585 North Academy Blvd just south from I-25. From the ordinary to the extraordinary, the exotic smells greet you in the parking lot. The decor is fun and imaginative. Over Presidents weekend I worked the Home and Garden Show at the Penrose Event Center in Colorado Springs. Time and time again I've learned that you can't just sit at these things and expect people to come find you. You have to get out from behind your little table and meet people.
For three days I sat across from Styria Bakery out of Frederick (303) 587-9658 getbread@comcast.net the best bread ever. Now I know that I like sour dough based breads over potato based breads. And I've never been a big bread eater, now I am! Thanks Shannon!
