I was reading a blog about what co-broke agents do not like about going to new home sites.  I am not going to talk about all the items, but I want to try and help everyone understand a little bit of the builder's side of the story.

New Home site in Newport News Virginia - 11/21/08 12:54 PM
I have just started working at Jefferson Estates in Newport News, VA.  It is a townhouse style condominium located near 3 military bases.  You can walk to historic Newport News City Park.  Yorktown and Historic Williamsburg are a short drive away.  The interstate 64 is only 2 blocks away.
The homes are 2 and 3 bedrooms.  They are loaded with great standard features.  Some of the standard features include granite countertops in the kitchen, tile flooring, stainless steel appliances, double bowl vanities, and balcony off the master bedroom.  These are just some of what you will find at Jefferson Estates.

Differences in buying new or used homes - 11/03/08 03:11 PM
I recently read an article that talked about the differences in buying an older home over a new home.  There are pluses to both.
The article talked about the fact that you can usually get an older home that has the wallpaper and paint already done.  Sometimes you can actually negotiate to have the window treatments included with the home.  The closing can occur in a short period of time.  On the down side you are buying a property that has used carpet, appliances, heating, and cooling systems to mention just some of the items in the home that have already been used since … (5 comments)
