I went on Monday to a new dentist, and was so thoroughly impressed, I decided to blog about it.  Shadow Mountain Dental Group, on North Decatur at the 215 Beltway, in the Costco shopping center - so awesome!

After a short phone call and some personal info, I received an e-mail to confirm my appointment and allow me to fill out my paperwork in advance.  Friday before my appointment, I received a confirmation e-mail, which allowed me to say "Yes" or "No" to my scheduled visit.  I love high-tech options like that, they make life so easy.

I signed in, digitally signed my paperwork and was getting x-rays in about 5 minutes.

Shadow Mountain Dental used digital x-rays, which were fast and easy, and in a breeze I was in a chair speaking with the dentist, who had already reviewed my chart.  They expressed concern for total mouth health and I told them I'd like to keep my teeth for a long time, and they gave me plenty of instruction and assistance regarding my needs.

The hygienist was really friendly and she did a great job of instructing me on how to use my sonic toothbrush to get the most out of it and what I may be missing when I'm flossing.

I've been to other dentists who have nasty attitudes if you're not 100% perfect about your oral care, and this office understood my prior health issues and didn't yell at me for not having immaculate gum health.

Best news is, I have no cavities, no periodontal disease and just might get some braces to re-align my jaw.  If you need a root canal, crown, or veneer, they have same-day service with a digital machine that gives you a natural, tooth-colored crown in about 2 hours.

Shadow Mountain Dental has appointments after 5pm to accomodate those who can't take the time off of work to get teeth cleaning.  In a 24-hour town, that means a lot.

I left there happy and impressed, and that's not always the case with service providers for me.  If you're looking for a good dentist in Las Vegas, I strongly urge you to give them a try, it looks like they take most insurance plans.
