Denver is Heating Up - Escape with a Water Park - 06/25/07 12:09 PM
Denver is Hot - Where Do you go to Cool Off? We broke a record yesterday for the date with a high of 100 in Denver. Yikes! And its still June! They are predicting 99 for today and although its supposed to cool down a little throughout the week, its still hot. When my family gets hot, we love to go swimming. But to add a bit more excitement, they love the water parks. And I get to be a kid too when we go. Fortunately the Denver area has plenty of them. Here are a few of our favorites: Pirates (3 comments)

Highlands Ranch Community Events - Another Great One - 06/24/07 09:21 PM
Highlands Ranch events are always Great Fun! A few weeks ago I blogged about the Highlands Ranch Carnival that was coming to town. We did get to attend as planned, and although it was an overcast evening with a bit of wind and rain was threatening - typical to Colorado - the skies cleared and a fun evening was enjoyed by my family. Yes, it was a small event. BUt it was great fun. My own children thought it was the best thing since sliced bread. I love it when they enjoy the simple pleasures.
As you can see, these types (1 comments)
Escape the Denver Heat! Try out a Local Ice Arena. - 06/24/07 07:51 PM
Denver Metro Area - Recreation - Try some Heat Escape & Skate It seems that almost every day this week has been close to 100 degrees. Its hot. Need an escape? Do what we do, skate. Many of you know that my family is pretty involved in hockey. One of my children is a youth hockey player and the other skates sometimes too. So we look at our summer skating time as not just practice & something to do - but an escape from the heat. I even strap on the skates from time to time and I haven't fallen down in quite some (0 comments)

Living in Denver - Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition opens this weekend at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science - 06/20/07 10:36 AM
A DENVER EXHIBIT TO SEE, FOR VISITORS AND RESIDENTS ALIKE The Denver Museum of Nature & Science is known for its great traveling exhibits that it hosts. And the next one is no exception. This weekend the Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition opens up and runs from June 22 - January 6, 2008. The Titanic history and attractions are not new to Denver, as the Molly Brown House is quite a popular attraction in Denver. It seems to me that this exhibit will explore a much deeper dimension to the tragedy as artifacts from the Titanic are displayed for the public to view and study than I (2 comments)
Living in Highlands Ranch: Celebrate the 4th of July - 06/18/07 10:38 PM
Highlands Ranch Celebration - 4th of July The 4th of July is a holiday I have always enjoyed. Living in Highlands Ranch, that tradition continues for me & my family as we have regularly participated in the Highlands Ranch Independence Day celebrations here in town. Last year was no different and we spent a good part of our day at the celebration at Town Center. My kids frolicked in the fountains at Civic Green Park, checked out the kiddie rides, listened to the music from the Civic Green Park stage, splurged on ice cream & treats in Town Center and off (1 comments)
Get the Kiddos Involved in Selling the House - 06/17/07 05:00 AM
Selling a house can be fun for the kids too! If your real estate market is anythig like mine, chances are you service families and often children are involved. I have many ways I get the kids involved in the home buying process - here is one of them that I have been doing for a couple of years now. Selling a home can be stressful for parents - keeping a house clean, getting out for showings, etc. At the listing (or later if the kids aren't around at the listing) I have then children sign a "contract" with me to help mom (41 comments)

Living In Highlands Ranch: The Old Blinking Light - 06/12/07 04:11 PM
Highlands Ranch Restaurants - The Old Blinking Light Kitchen & Cocktails A few weeks ago, we had some company in town and it was an extremely busy week-end. We wanted to pick out a great restaurant that was close by, but still offered something unique and different. Living in an area that does have its fair-share of chain restaurants - it is such a refreshing change to dine at a restuarant like The Old Blinking Light. The atmosphere is great - we dined inside - but there is also a terrific patio complete with a fire pit that will be ideal for (0 comments)

Finding a Denver Home With Mountain Views - You'll Need More than the Internet - 06/12/07 11:41 AM
What about Views for My New Home? Mountain? City? I get so many home buyers and potential real estate clients in the Denver suburbs asking me to help find them a home with mountain views. Why not? Living in Colorado with such beauty to admire I can't blame them at all. And some even desire that double bonus of the downtown view or city lights. So the search begins. Some people want to buy a new construction home. We go out to the home sales office and find a nice floor plan and then decide on the lot. The buyers want views from their (2 comments)

Sterne Park in Littleton, CO - a Great place for an hour or the whole afternoon! Sterne Park in Littleton Coloradois a fantastic community park that is located just blocks away from Historic Downtown Littleton. Nestled away from the main roads, it is a quiet park but still can bustle with activity from time to time. Part of the South Suburban parks and Recreation Department (SSPRD), Sterne Park is a great option for just about everyone. My favorite qualities are the beautiful pond in the center of Sterne Park. I have given my own children fishing lessons at this very park. (4 comments)

In the past, my family has not been able to attend very many of these - mostly due to my children's summer sporting events - but it looks like this summer we (4 comments)
