June is almost over and 4th of July is this week!  I can't believe it actually, the summer is flying by. 
Last year for the 4th, we were actually not in town at all, but rather on vacation.  So I am pretty glad to stay-put this year and be home for the celebrations.  The kids are too.  I think our plans will be to hang out at home during the day and then head over to the celebration in Highlands Ranch at Town Center in the evening.  There is a ton to do there, and the kids love to just run … (5 comments)

Yesterday I had the pleasure of attending a short clinic with my son.  He plays ice hockey. 
He started playing roller hockey at about 6 and then at 8 switched to ice. 
Laura, my wife was always a little nervous about that day. 
That day he advanced to checking.
I have to admit, I was a bit as well but not for the same reasons.

Flickr + Video = Happy Denver Relocation Clients - 06/28/08 10:16 AM
I have a Flickr account I use a litte, but I know I can do more with it.  
Recently though I had an idea to put it to a different use.  Not long ago, Flickr started accepting video as well - it has to be short clips - 90 seconds max I think. Before the example I am about to share with you, my video clips on Flickr had been limited to showing my nephews in Maryland our new puppy.  I had not yet used FLICKR video for business.  That has changed.

I have written before about how wonderful it is to have the High Line Canal so close by to my home in Highlands Ranch.

I often ride my bike on the canal trail and we take family trips on the trail as well. And from time to time I visit the trail from starting points other than my norm.    Last Sunday, Father's Day, was one of those times and we took the camera along as well.

Last night, 6/17/08, on the NBC Nightly News, a  piece featured Denver as the "Poster City" for light rail.   The piece is touching on topics that have to do with rising fuel costs and maintaining a quality of life and traffic issues and they looked at Denver's Light Rail as an example.
