Origianlly posted on my Denver Real Estate Blog: 5 Reasons to Live in Westridge Pointe
There are so many great subdivisions throughout Highlands Ranch. Each neighborhood has it’s own unique qualities.  Highlands Ranch as a community is an awesome place to live and play.  Westridge Pointe is a subdivision of homes roughly between Town Center Drive and Highlands Ranch Parkway and Redstone Park to Marcy Park, on the west side of the ranch.  Home styles, sizes and pricing vary with something for nearly everyone. Here are 5 reasons to live in Westridge Pointe.

Firelight Neighborhood: Highlands Ranch Colorado Homes
The Firelight neighborhood in Highlands Ranch is a beautiful neighborhood located in the Southridge area of Highlands Ranch Colorado.

Firelight's location makes it convenient for shopping, dinning, close to schools parks & trails and the Southridge Rec Center.  The Southridge Rec Center is the newest of the 4 HRCA rec centers and features a beautiful indoor pool with lazy river, outdoor pool, auditorium, dance/martial arts studio room, gym and work out facilities.
Firelight is part of the Douglas County School District and feeds into Mountain Vista High School with Heritage Elementary … (0 comments)

denver neighborhoods: Highlands Ranch Colorado Neighborhoods and Subdivisions - 02/13/11 11:26 PM
I have been posting quite a bit lately to update much of the information that I posted back in 2007 and 2008 about different Highlands Ranch neighborhoods/ subdivisions.
I still have many to go, but here are the ones that I have posted here thus far.  I have included links to IDX search, so that if there are homes available for sale that are listed in the Denver MLS - they will appear on each page. As I add more Highlands Ranch neighborhood postings, I will add the links here.
If you have any questions or would like to see … (2 comments)

Falcon Hills Neighborhood: Highlands Ranch Colorado Homes For Sale

Falcon Hills is the original luxury neighborhood of Highlands Ranch.  Both a gated and pool community - Falcon Hills is actually two neighborhoods - Falcon Hills North and Falcon Hills South.
Falcon Hills, both North and South, is known for its large expansive yards, some even with pools. Additionally, from its perch high on a hill, many homes in Falcon Hills have beautiful wide open mountain views of the entire front range.
Located just off of University Blvd, residents of Falcon Hills have extremely easy access to C470 for commuters.

Hillcrest Neighborhood: Highlands Ranch Colorado Homes For Sale

Hillcrest is a neighborhood in the heart of Highlands Ranch.  I find Hillcrest to be a stunning neighborhood, larger executive style homes with lots of brick, larger lots and many side entry garages with curved driveways make it a bit different than many of the other Highlands Ranch neighborhoods.  Another quality that differentiates itself is the number of streets that are cul-de-sacs and the fact that it is a bit of a smaller neighborhood than some of the others.  Many of the Hillcrest homes also are known for its very generous sized … (1 comments)

Highlands Ranch Colorado Homes For Sale:  Timberline Ridge

Timberline Ridge Neighborhood in Highlands Ranch is one of the "older" communities in Highlands Ranch but still remains to be one that I receive many inquiries about.  Numerous factors contribute to its level of interest, large yards, many open space lots, quite a few with breathtaking full mountain views, easy access to trails, walkability to the elementary school and much more.

In addition, Timberline Ridge is a pool community with a private neighborhood pool and clubhouse for residents only.

Located at the northern section of Highlands Ranch, but … (2 comments)

Highlands Ranch Colorado Homes For Sale: Kentley Hills Neighborhood

Kentley Hills Neighborhood in Highlands Ranch is another one of my favorites.  I know, I keep saying that, but there are so many great ones.  With open space running in and out of parts of the neighborhood, and many homes sitting high on a hill, many properties in Kentley Hills can brag with both mountain AND city views.
Homes for sale in the Kentley Hills neighborhood start around mid $300's and run into the $600,000's and even $700,000's at times.  It is a very desirable area with a great location, nearby … (0 comments)

denver neighborhoods: Real Estate Transactions: HOA Matters - 11/10/10 06:14 PM
Originally posted on my Denver Real Estate Blog at : The Real Estate Transaction Series: HOA Matters
HOA’s, or Homeowners Associations, can be very good to have in place in a community. The HOA’s can serve to enforce covenants, guidelines and be a positive addition to a community. Not everyone likes them and there are plenty of communities that don’t have them. So the choice is yours. But, if you choose to own in an HOA governed neighborhood, then just remember that you agree to abide by the terms of the HOA and agree to adhere to the authority of the … (0 comments)

Gelazzi is Much More Than Tasty Treats - They Give Back If you have been reading here for any length of time, you know that I do like to feature local businesses that I enjoy.  I have received very positive feedback, particularly from those relocating to Denver that they truly enjoy having the "local scoop" so to speak on where to head for what they are looking for.
Here is one more scoop that is too good to share.  And this time its a scoop quite literally.  For a bit I have had a new local business on my list and … (4 comments)

denver neighborhoods: SUDC - Josh & Gus's Run For a Reason - 08/16/08 09:39 PM
SUDC - Josh & Gus’s Run For A Reason - Denver I am going to keep this short and sweet.  Because honestly, its a topic that is difficult.  So difficult I took the easy way out and had my wife guest author for me last year to tell you about it.  You can read her post from last year here: Give Back Denver . But its important enough that I need to share.

An upcoming annual event is Josh & Gus's Run For a Reason.  Josh Gove & Gus McDonald were 2 little boys that died suddenly in their … (2 comments)

denver neighborhoods: Living in Denver - Spring in City Park - 04/30/08 09:31 AM
I had a little time this week between meetings so I stopped in at City Park to take a few photos.  Spring is definitely in the air in Denver, the flowering trees are blooming, the grass is greening up and even the ducks and geese seemed to be celebrating.

I don't get extra time in the city very often, so it was a treat for me.

So far this week, the weather has been really nice in Denver.  A little overcast here & there but warm and mild.  But it sounds like tonight yet another cold front is … (4 comments)

denver neighborhoods: Living in Denver, Wash Park Grille - 10/20/07 11:41 AM
Denver Homes &  Living in Denver - Denver Restaurants -  Wash Park Grille
If you are looking for a fun, delicious, well established Denver restaurant, without going all the way downtown - I would recommend checking out Washington Park Grille, more well known as Wash Park Grille.  Located on south Gaylord street just a bit north east of Wash Park, its long been a Denver local favorite.
Their mostly Italian menu has a local flavor to it, and its a great blend of steak, chicken, pasta and seafood.  We have been eating here for years and it seems to always be a … (2 comments)

This week-end in Denver was already slated to be extremely busy, and now that the Colorado Rockies are in the play-offs (GO ROCKIES!)there are even more activities to pick from in downtown Denver Saturday and Sunday.  Here are just a few that you can pick from. One tip though, if you will be going downtown from any of the suburbs this week-end, I have to think that public transportation such as light rail or the RTD bus service would be a very good idea.  I have to … (10 comments)

denver neighborhoods: Living in Denver, CO: Its Just Buggy: Big Bug Exhibit at the Denver Botanic Gardens - 03/15/07 01:49 PM
When I am not busy selling Denver Real Estate, there is nothing I like better than finding new things to do with my family in Denver.  I am quite excited about this upcoming one.  The Denver Botanic Gardens is one of my favorite places in the mile-high city and the spring exhibit is going to be just fabulous.
The last week of March kicks off this grand event with David Rogers' Big Bug Exhibit.  Rogers sculptures are card form wood and look fantastic.  In Denver we will have a spider carved of black walnut, a 17 foot long Dragonfly from red cedar and many … (2 comments)
