highlands ranch businesses: Peachwave Highlands Ranch Town Center - 01/27/11 06:35 PM
Peachwave Highlands Ranch One of the latest additions to Highlands Ranch Town Center North is Peachwave.  Much like Centennial’s Yogurtland, Peachwave is a self serve frozen yogurt eatery with many delicious toppings to make your own creation unique and quite delicious.

We first visited Peachwave the week it opened and have since been back 2 times. My kids love this as a special snack or fun treat dessert.
My daughter tends to gravitate to several yogurt types, she does a little bit of this, a little bit of that.  She then douses it in the fudge sauce and adds some … (4 comments)

highlands ranch businesses: Daddy Daughter Lunch Time in Highlands Ranch - 01/03/11 10:12 PM
Yesterday my daughter was down in the dumps.  I racked it up to some end of vacation blues. Her co-horts that normally run the 'hood with her were all out with their families, therefore we had a 12 year old that was sulking on her 2nd to last day of winter break and making sure everyone knew how bored she was.
We have been on the go all of their break, and I really had not had any down time with her alone one on one.  I called her downstairs and said, "Hey - Want to go grab some lunch, just … (2 comments)

highlands ranch businesses: Highlands Ranch Living - New Sheriff Station Under Construction - 02/21/10 01:04 PM
Highlands Ranch Gets A New Sheriff’s Station
I spend my share of time traveling in and around Highlands Ranch and the south metro Denver area every day.  I pay attention to both residential housing and commercial development.  Although I don’t really broker commercial real estate, I know it is important to have a sense of the commercial market as it can often impact the quality of life for the communities I specialize in such as Highlands Ranch.

Recently, ground has been broken for commercial building in Highlands Ranch. This is basically at the corner of Highlands Ranch Parkway and … (1 comments)

highlands ranch businesses: Highlands Ranch Living - Changes For Community Trash & Recycling - 02/21/10 12:41 PM
Living in Highlands Ranch – New Trash and Recycling
I came across more good news for those of us living in Highlands Ranch. The HRCA Board of Directors has negotiated an agreement with Pro Disposal for reduced cost trash and recycling service.  Highlands Ranch residents do not have to take part in this, it is an opt in program, you can stay with your current trash pick-up provider.  There are more details to the program which you can read about here.

This move does change the day of week for trash pick up so make sure to check here … (0 comments)

highlands ranch businesses: New Hamburger Joint Coming to Highlands Ranch? - 10/04/08 09:24 PM
My blogger friend from across the country has given me a scoop to tell you about.  Cindy Jones lives in Northern Virginia, and has told her readers about one of her favorite Hamburger hangouts - Five Guys.  I actually know of them vaguely - I have family in her neck of the woods and my brother in law mentioned to me that he likes Five Guys.  My wife visited this summer and became familiar with them as well.
Well, Cindy has family here in the Denver Suburbs - right in Highlands Ranch so she has shared that her family will soon … (6 comments)

highlands ranch businesses: Living in Denver ~ Gelazzi Is More Than Tasty Treats - 10/04/08 09:43 AM
Gelazzi is Much More Than Tasty Treats - They Give Back If you have been reading here for any length of time, you know that I do like to feature local businesses that I enjoy.  I have received very positive feedback, particularly from those relocating to Denver that they truly enjoy having the "local scoop" so to speak on where to head for what they are looking for.
Here is one more scoop that is too good to share.  And this time its a scoop quite literally.  For a bit I have had a new local business on my list and … (4 comments)

highlands ranch businesses: Highlands Ranch Real Estate & Living - Wag N' Wash Coming To Westridge - 08/30/08 07:14 PM
Since I have become a dog owner in May, I tend to notice more dog related things lately.  And here's another.
They are building a new Wag N' Wash Healthy Pet Center in Highlands Ranch - a place where I can bathe my dog without stinking up the tub.  Not bad!

The Wag N Wash will be in the King Soopers Shopping Center at the Corner of Highlands Ranch Parkway and Wildcat Reserve Parkway.  According to the web site, the Wag N' Wash in Highlands Ranch will be opening this fall.  I am not certain of the exact date, but … (0 comments)

highlands ranch businesses: Highlands Ranch Real Estate & Living - New Businesses Coming to Town Center - 08/30/08 06:02 PM
By now you have seen it, there are some new businesses that are coming to Town Center in Highlands Ranch at the corner of Lucent and Highlands Ranch Parkway.  From what I can tell - here's what we've got.
Indulge Wine Bar - I was contacted back in April by one of the owners letting me know that Indulge Wine Bar was coming.  While I still am uncertain of the opening date, the web site says late 2008. I remember hearing about an outdoor patio and tapas, that will be nice.
Chase Bank - Lots of banks in town, but there … (2 comments)

highlands ranch businesses: Living in Highlands Ranch - Recycle Computers & Electronics Right Now - 08/23/08 01:57 PM

I posted early in the week and the Highlands Ranch Computers & Electronics Recycling Event is going on right now.  The event is free (small charge for televisions).

I brought my stuff over this morning and it was quite impressive.  So much STUFF.  I brought an old printer, some phones and an old broken PDA.

The recycling event goes on until 1pm - don't miss it, head over now - it could be at least 6 months or so before the next one.

highlands ranch businesses: Denver Gas Prices - Ouch! Here's How to Find Your Local Low - 06/10/08 12:41 PM
You are probably as irritated as the rest of us at the price of gas.  Around town its nearing the $4.00 mark and I hear a few places in the Denver area have now surpassed that.
Here is a quick & easy way to find out where in the Denver area has the cheap(er)(est) gas prices on any given day at any given time.
Go to Denver's page of Gas Buddy.
It will even tell you the highest prices around as well, in case you were wondering that too.
Here's a screen shot from this morning (6/10/08).

highlands ranch businesses: Is There A New Super Target Coming To The Westridge Area Of Highlands Ranch? - 05/17/08 05:58 PM
Throughout the 13+ years that I have lived in Highlands Ranch (moved here in 1995 from the south east Denver area) I have been practicing real estate in different capacities.  But the majority of time at least 75% of my business has been in Highlands Ranch.  With that in mind, you can imagine that over the years I have heard it all in regards to development speculations.  And quite frankly, most of it doesn't phase me anymore.  I have heard it all and the majority of it has always been rumors.
A few weeks ago I heard some rumblings that there … (1 comments)

highlands ranch businesses: Living In Highlands Ranch - In Search Of The Perfect Pizza - 09/16/07 10:37 PM
NOW THAT YOU ARE MOVING TO HIGHLANDS RANCH - WHERE ARE YOU GOING TO GET A DECENT PIZZA?
One of the most frequent questions that I am asked, once someone has decided to relocate to the Denver area, is about restaurants.  That may seem odd, I am a REALTOR® afterall - but think about it.  People are coming to a new place and may know virtually no one -or even how to get around.  Who better to ask, then your local expert, right?
People always want to know where to eat, who has the best food, at the best prices and the like.  One of … (17 comments)

highlands ranch businesses: Living In Highlands Ranch: The Old Blinking Light - 06/12/07 04:11 PM
Highlands Ranch Restaurants - The Old Blinking Light Kitchen & Cocktails
A few weeks ago, we had some company in town and it was an extremely busy week-end.  We wanted to pick out a great restaurant that was close by, but still offered something unique and different.  Living in an area that does have its fair-share of chain restaurants - it is such a refreshing change to dine at a restuarant like The Old Blinking Light.
The atmosphere is great - we dined inside - but there is also a terrific patio complete with a fire pit that will be ideal for … (0 comments)

Doing Business in Highlands Ranch:  The Chamber of Commerce
If you are a new business in Highlands Ranch, or are currently moving to Highlands Ranch and will be moving your business as well (or starting a new one) I would highly recommend joining the Highlands Ranch Chamber of Commerce.  I am currently a member there with my real estate business and it has been a meaningful association for me.
Activities are plentiful from monthly speaker luncheon's to the Annual Gala and everything in between.  There are a variety of "meet and greets" and networking events and even some great discounts to members … (0 comments)
