highlands ranch restaurants: Highlands Ranch Town Center in Winter is Fun - 03/06/11 07:53 PM

Highlands Ranch Town Center is a Hub bub of activity when it is warm, but it is also great fun during the colder times as well.

Here are just a few things I like during the winter at Highlands Ranch Town Center.
Potato Leek Soup at Lansdowne Arms.   Would you believe I am able to get my kids to eat leeks?  I certainly am.  In fact they beg for it and my family has suggested that they put this fabulous soup on the kid's menu as well, although … (2 comments)

highlands ranch restaurants: Living in Highlands Ranch: Lil Ricci's NY Pizzeria - 01/30/11 10:48 PM
Some of us in our family love pizza.  But we have one that doesn't (can you believe it?).  So we have searched high and low for a family friendly NY style pizza place that has a full menu of other items to entice to picky eaters, but still really great pizza.
We have found that at Lil Riccis, and I even admit that sometimes I don't get pizza but something else as well - because it is all great.
Our latest trip to Lil Ricci's was take-out - I am always glad they have their take-out parking spaces on the weekends … (10 comments)

highlands ranch restaurants: Daddy Daughter Lunch Time in Highlands Ranch - 01/03/11 10:12 PM
Yesterday my daughter was down in the dumps.  I racked it up to some end of vacation blues. Her co-horts that normally run the 'hood with her were all out with their families, therefore we had a 12 year old that was sulking on her 2nd to last day of winter break and making sure everyone knew how bored she was.
We have been on the go all of their break, and I really had not had any down time with her alone one on one.  I called her downstairs and said, "Hey - Want to go grab some lunch, just … (2 comments)

highlands ranch restaurants: New Hamburger Joint Coming to Highlands Ranch? - 10/04/08 09:24 PM
My blogger friend from across the country has given me a scoop to tell you about.  Cindy Jones lives in Northern Virginia, and has told her readers about one of her favorite Hamburger hangouts - Five Guys.  I actually know of them vaguely - I have family in her neck of the woods and my brother in law mentioned to me that he likes Five Guys.  My wife visited this summer and became familiar with them as well.
Well, Cindy has family here in the Denver Suburbs - right in Highlands Ranch so she has shared that her family will soon … (6 comments)

highlands ranch restaurants: In Search for Great Mexican Food - Los Dos Potrillos - 10/06/07 06:55 PM
If you live in Highlands Ranch, western Centennial or Littleton - or anywhere else nearby - here is a great find for you when craving salty chips, yummy margaritas and smothered burritos - Los Dos Potrillos.  Located in a somewhat hidden location in a Centennial strip mall (just on the other side of County Line Road from Highlands Ranch) - Los Dos Potrillos has surprisingly great food at reasonable prices.
If you are heading out on the weekend, be prepared to wait a bit or you can call ahead to put your name on the list - but even a wait … (4 comments)

highlands ranch restaurants: Living In Highlands Ranch - In Search Of The Perfect Pizza - 09/16/07 10:37 PM
NOW THAT YOU ARE MOVING TO HIGHLANDS RANCH - WHERE ARE YOU GOING TO GET A DECENT PIZZA?
One of the most frequent questions that I am asked, once someone has decided to relocate to the Denver area, is about restaurants.  That may seem odd, I am a REALTOR® afterall - but think about it.  People are coming to a new place and may know virtually no one -or even how to get around.  Who better to ask, then your local expert, right?
People always want to know where to eat, who has the best food, at the best prices and the like.  One of … (17 comments)

Highlands Ranch Restaurants - The Old Blinking Light Kitchen & Cocktails
A few weeks ago, we had some company in town and it was an extremely busy week-end.  We wanted to pick out a great restaurant that was close by, but still offered something unique and different.  Living in an area that does have its fair-share of chain restaurants - it is such a refreshing change to dine at a restuarant like The Old Blinking Light.
The atmosphere is great - we dined inside - but there is also a terrific patio complete with a fire pit that will be ideal for … (0 comments)

highlands ranch restaurants: Living in Highlands Ranch: Lansdowne Arms Bistro and Pub - 04/18/07 05:04 PM
Living in Highlands Ranch & Dining Out - Lansdowne Arms
There have been a variety of quaint non-chain restaurants that have opened up in Highlands Ranch in the last few years.  When people move to the Denver area, they are always asking me for places to go.  I love trying out all different types of places to offer my clients new ideas (my family likes to as well) and Lansdowne Arms has become a favorite for all of us.  The owners do have other pub's around Denver, but its feel and menu is nothing but original for me.  From the outside of … (26 comments)
