3 Common Questions About Electronic Signatures - 04/23/10 08:50 AM
One of the reasons I signed up with DocuSign last week was to save time and to accomodate an out of town client.
Time is still an issue, but I wanted to take a minute to express my endorsement for this game-changing product.
Fellow REALTORS, be sure to check out the NAR discount.
The following is a re-blog from a rep with DocuSign.

As real estate professionals you have a lot of questions about electronic signature and how it may benefit your business.  I've put together answers to the most common questions.

Help Clean Bayou this weekend! - 04/18/10 12:35 PM
Laura Heller and the American Press did a great job in today's American Press with their Sunday Talk feature story about the Clean Bayou SWLA organization.
In case you missed my re-blog of what Mary Kay Hopkins posted a few weeks ago, Clean Bayou SWLA is a non-profit formed in January to rid our Bayous of litter and trash.
I first heard about this organization when the Clean Bayou board president, Eric Stevens, spoke to the Southwest Louisiana Association of REALTORS about this important effort.
This year, the focus is on Contraband Bayou.  How fitting that this effort will take place … (2 comments)

The 1910 fire, and the events that will commerorate the 100th anniversary, was featured on the front page and beyond of today's paper.
Remembered MK's post and thought this would be good time to remind everyone that this Saturday is the day of the Fire Walk Tour.

My, You Look Wonderful For Your Age! - 04/18/10 11:26 AM
This home is a classic example of starting over! Technically, the slab is original, but the work that was done to this home post hurricane Rita gives it an effective age of 2 years. This Westlake home offers 3 full baths, a wonderful custom kitchen, and a shop that was built to double as an outdoor kitchen. The garage opens to the landscaped back yard which offers a privacy fence. See more. Learn more. A full page is dedicated to this Westlake home at swlashowcase.com.

Another of my Lake Charles Real Estate Websites - 04/16/10 05:04 PM
One of the things that I do not like about tradtional real estate websites is the "cookie cutter" manner in which they display the photos. At SWLAShowcase.com, those looking to buy in the Lake Charles area will find much larger photos as well as embedded videos of the homes I have listed.
I'm proud of all of my sites, including my primary site, Derenda.com. SWLAShowcase.com is just one more way that I market my Lake Charles Homes. To utilize my services which include this and all my Lake Charles real estate websites, please feel free to give me a call! … (0 comments)

The 4 Paws Society is serious when they say Volunteer WORK day! - 04/15/10 08:39 PM
MK invited me to join her for an event at 4 Paws on The Bayou some months back. At the time I wrote a blog as I was quite impressed by the 4 Paws organization as well as the local Animal Coalition.
I was not aware, until reading this post, of the transport function of the 4 Paws Society.
Nor, until now, did I realize the number of dogs they had rescued in their first year.
This is so typical of the Lake Charles area!  If you are moving here and want to be involved in animal rescue, you will find open arms.

Check out my listings and a great deal more on Derenda.com - 04/15/10 08:29 PM
The good news relative to sponsoring multiple Lake Charles Real Estate websites is that buyers can see homes for sale in Lake Charles in a variety of formats. Obviously, this translates into benefits for those selling a home in Lake Charles or anywhere in Southwest Louisiana.
However, sometimes it is necessary to remind buyers and sellers in the Lake Area of my multiple websites.
Today, I submit my primary website. (See iframe below). While I'm happy for you to check it out from my blog, the best way is to visit Derenda.com directly.

Congratulations (already!) to the Clean Bayou Board - 04/07/10 09:22 PM
I had commented on this post early on.
Ironically, the President of the Clean Bayou Board had addressed our local association about that time, so I was a bit "heads up" on the effort but was VERY impressed.
Reblogging it now to encourage people to sign up directly (or donate) on their fabulous website, CleanBayouSWLA.org.
Via Mary Kay Hopkins, LLC:
My appreciation for organizational effectiveness runs deep so when I see something the magnitude of Clean Bayou,  I'm compelled to give credit where credit is due and a great deal of credit goes to the board of directors of this new, non-profit organization … (3 comments)
