La Jolla homes ocean view condos in the Village end-of-2012 Market Report

An average ocean view costs an average of $ 250 per sq ft more.  So, a 1,000 sq ft condo would average an additional $ 250,000 more, for a good view $ 500,000 more, for a mostly obstructed view $ 100,000.  For the last  8 months there have been 22 sales ranging from $ 650,000 to 6.2M, averaging $ 1.1M-$1.5M and taking a couple months to sell.  The average per square foot price is $ 895-$913, oceanfront being 913 or more.  This is up 6%-14%
